Traventuria Day Tours Team

"My name is Svetoslav Velkov. Since my childhood, I love nature, wildlife and traveling.  I graduated MS in Zoology and Nature Conservation at Sofia University. In the following year I passed the course for certified guides and since then I have been guiding individuals and groups. I love presenting Bulgaria, its culture, history and nature to foreign tourists, in an exciting way. My job is my passion.  I'm one of the co-owners of Traventuria. My main job is organizing, monitoring the quality and marketing the day tours of the company. However, I sincerely love guiding and when there is an opportunity, I'm always seizing it. My favourite day tour is to Rila Monastery since the site combines history, art and pristine nature."
"My name is Albena Angelova. I hold a Bachelor degree in Tourism from the Sofia University and a Master degree in Business Administration from the New Bulgarian University. I am a tourist by profession and by calling :)  I love the nature of my beautiful country and its cultural and historical sites. It's a pleasure for me to show them to the tourists and help them experience Bulgaria more fully. At Traventuria, I work as an inbound travel consultant. I have a mountain guide degree and of course, my favourite tours are the hiking ones."
"Hi! My name is Rositsa Mitova. I’ve always been curious about the origin of the “ingredients of Nature” and I found some clues during my study in Geology at Sofia University. Since then my passion in finding the answers to the question “ what kind of rock is this piece of stone and how was it formed” correlates with the seeking of information how the evolution of Nature and mankind with its history have been going together. Currently in my work as travel consultant at Traventuria my study background helps me to understand the clients’ needs and convince them in the advantages of the chosen destination from cultural and geological point of view. No wonder why my favourite tours are the 7 Rila lakes and Vratsa karst and Ledenika cave."
Traventuria's guide Martin Krastev Hello there. I’m Martin. I studied at the Music Academy of Sofia and now I am a student at Sofia University pursuing a degree in social work. So far so good. As a person with lots of different interests I love to guide our day tours and to meet different people every day. And this is not only because of the beautiful sites, the outstanding landscapes and the rich history of Bulgaria but also because of the sparks in the eyes of the people when they are in a certain place for the very first time. To select my favorite day tour would be tough one, but if I have to do that – it will be the tour to the Rila Monastery… simply because every single one of the things in this place is unique.
"My name is Nora Todorova. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Cultural Studies from Sofia University, and I also have an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice from Horry-Georgetown Technical College (South Carolina, USA). I am currently enrolled in a Master Degree program in Public Administration at the Academy of Ministry of Interior. In Traventuria, I work at the position of Administrative Assistant Specialist. I have always been inspired by travelling and by people who love travelling and visiting new destinations, cultures, and customs. I love Bulgaria's nature, but mostly I am a huge fan of Bulgaria's rich and ancient culture. My field of studies support me every day throughout my work, by helping me guide our clients to the best cultural days tours we could provide for them in order to present Bulgaria's heritage and cultural way of life in the best possible way. Thus, of course, my favorite tours are the days tours we have running, but if I have to choose one, that would be the Koprivshtitsa, Starosel and Plovdiv tour."
"My name is Svetoslav Manoilov. I am a Ph.D. in Modern History, University of Sofia “St. Kliment Ohridski”. I have participated in many international conferences and published over 20 papers. I adore Bulgaria, I am proud of its past and hope to help to create better future for its people. I believe that working as a tour-guide in Traventuria is one of the best ways to do this by introducing the beauties of Bulgaria to foreign tourists.  As a highlander my favorite trip is the one to Koprivshtitsa. The town is nestled in the mountains and there I feel like home. In Koprivshtitsa."
"Hi! My name is Nikola. I love nature, traveling, history and thus it is my pleasure to work as guide in Traventuria, to show you around Bulgarian nature and present you with its ancient culture and past.

I have studied International Business Management in Germany and worked in the snowboarding industry in Austria as I love this sport and ride for 16 years. My other passion is music. I play drums since I was a child and now I am singing in a funk/soul/reggae band called ‘One Soul’.

From the day tours offered by Traventuria, I enjoy most тhe Rila Monastery, for it’s important role in Bulgarian history and also the hiking tours in Rila and Vitosha mountains."
